Leeds United were back in Championship action today as we put the November international break and more injury disappointments behind us and hosted Bristol City at Elland Road.
The game was fairly balanced for large parts, but having picked up a yellow card another moment of madness for Josh Brownhill saw him sent for an early bath and Marcelo Bielsa’s side took full advantage of the extra man to tip the clash in our favour.
With a little over 20 minutes left in the tie, Kemar Roofe grabbed himself another goal to give us the lad, and Pablo Hernandez popped up with a second four minutes from time to secure the 2-0 victory.
The three points lifted Leeds United back into second place in the Championship table and there’s only a three point gap to Norwich City who currently occupy top spot.
Having tasted defeat and disappointment to West Bromwich Albion, this was the right way of bouncing back.
