Leeds United got back to winning ways under manager Marcelo Bielsa as we hosted Ipswich Town at Elland Road on Wednesday evening.

With a few changes to the starting lineup, whilst the overall performance and our domination on the game in terms of the statistics didn’t really change from what we’ve seen in more recent times, there was more end product from the side as goals from Kemar Roofe and Liam Cooper took us to a 2-0 victory and returned us to the top of the Championship table.

Whilst Pablo Hernandez deserves special mention for his efforts and two assists on the day, Cooper’s overall showing easily won him WhoScored’s star man rating with 8.84.

Hernandez was in second spot with 8.70 and Kalvin Phillips, Ezgjan Alioski and Roofe completed the top five best performers on a stats front from the match.

With players getting sharper now after injury, hopefully, that’s a sign our mini dip is now over and fans can start looking ahead again with some greater confidence – well, at least until the next dip comes along as we all know there will be another one.
