You know the saying ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’?
Well, it looks as if that’s the mantra Leeds United fans are going with this season when it comes to their players.
One of the biggest bits of news that came out of Monday night’s U23 game against Watford was the return of Luke Ayling into the fold as he has been out of action for some time having undergone ankle surgery in the summer.
Ayling was a near ever-present in the Leeds United team last year, playing in 38 of the team’s 46 Championship games as well as both games in the playoffs. He was also a relatively crucial part of the team as well as he contributed two goals and six assists last term as well.
So given how important he is to the team, does he go straight back into the team when he is 100% fit? That was the question that @tommy_lufc asked on Twitter and it’s fair to say that the response was pretty conclusive.
Let ayling work his way back to fitness then see where we are. No way I’d move Dallas thou

Just can’t drop Dallas now

Bielsa has always been very loyal to those in possession of the shirt, when the team is winning. Rarely changes anyone when the team has won the previous game. Given team performance and Dallas’ form I can’t see him being dislodged. Bench for Ayling & await an opportunity.

Nope. Square pegs, square holes. Dallas playing excellently at Rb, leave him where he is.

Can't drop Dallas now he's risen to the task amazing

I don't think you can assume that Dallas would be as effective on the other side of the pitch. He did OK at left back, but he's naturally right footed and I'm not convinced he's a better LB than Alioski or Douglas. TBC

Nope, Ayling has too win his place back – Dallas is playing well – his place to lose atm and Aloiski is doing alright.

Although there was one voice on the other side of the argument that does think he should play once he’s ready.
Think you’re all forgetting one thing.
Dallas is one of the best midfielders in the Championship.
This was his first full-on preseason for 3 years.
A fit Ayling plays.
That doesn’t exclude Dallas.
He’ll be left or right midfield.
