Speculation about the future of Leeds United legend Pontus Jansson continues at pace on the rumour mill this summer and with speculation surfacing earlier in the week of Fulham apparently having an interest in the centre-half, plenty of fans were naturally worried.

Much like the Kalvin Phillips rumours with Aston Villa, the rumour mill now seems to be feeding itself when it comes to Pontus and fans are naturally reading different things into the claims, especially with Sheffield United said to be interested as well.
With the Yorkshire Evening Post recently revealing that Jansson had again been given additional time off with the players now back in training, and with him again training with boyhood club Malmo – that naturally set tongues wagging on social media and in the press.
Jansson won’t return until July 12 apparently and that means he misses our trip to Australia and he does get slightly longer off than everyone else, so I can see why people are reading into it.
It certainly hasn’t been helped by Jansson’s refusal to address questions on the topic and if he is off, manager Marcelo Bielsa must be on board with it.
I’m still hoping this is just typical summer nonsense.
