It would seem that Jamal Blackman very much could be our next signing this summer after Phil Hay’s latest update.

The Whites have been linked with a lot of players this summer with Marcelo Bielsa coming in.

Left-back, up top, goalkeeper and centre-half are all key positions we need to strengthen and after missing out on Angus Gunn it looks as though Jamal Blackman could be the man to challenge BPF:

It seems, then, that a long-awaited second signing is on the way judging by Hay’s tweet but we’ll just have to wait and actually see whether that proves the case.

The Verdict

I’d be happy with Blackman because he’s a decent goalkeeper and it shows that the club hasn’t actually forgotten that the window is wide open for business right now.

He did well for Sheffield United last season and would represent at least one area where we’ve strengthened.
