Stuart Dallas may not have played a great role in our season thanks to injuries, but the versatile midfielder is still confident that Leeds can secure promotion into the Premier League this season, as per quotes shared by BBC Sport’s Adam Pope.
Saturday’s brief outing as a 77th-minute substitute represented the Northern Irishman’s 21st appearance in the Championship this term, but his last start under Marcelo Bielsa came before the turn of the year – coincidentally also against Sheffield United.
He could not affect the outcome of the tie at the weekend, though, and as a result we slipped into the Play-Off places once again, having only moved ahead of the Blades at the start of the month.
Now we have just eight games left to challenge those above us in the table and hope either club drops enough points, yet if we perform as well as Dallas believes we can, that should not be an issue.
“With eight games left to go I’m more than confident we can continue a push & hopefully come the end of the season we’re up there,” Dallas said.
“I believe on our day we are one of the best sides in the league & hopefully we can show that over these next eight games.”
The 27-year-old’s comments, however, did not earn such a resounding vote of confidence from the Elland Road faithful…
Confidence please

I have every confidence in the boss and the team.

Sounds a bit wishy washy to me. On our day we are THE best. Just need 8 more games where it’s OUR day

How about they all stop mouthing how good we are and get the job done. The 2 home games we didn’t want to lose norwich and sheff Utd we lost. Win the last 8 games and you will go up. Simple.

If we’d taken something from Stoke and QPR alone the norwich and sheffield utd games are no as important.
