Leeds got their promotion push back on track with a hard earned 1-0 win over Coventry City at Elland Road.

Simon Grayson named an unchanged side from the one that drew with Hull City in midweek.

Ramon Nunez was named amongst the Leeds substitutes in place of Ross McCormack.

Davide Somma had Leeds first chance in the opening few minutes when he fired over after good work from Robert Snodgrass.

Coventry came close to opening the scoring for the visitors when Wood saw his effort just go wide of the post with the help of a slight Leeds deflection.

Somma again had another chance for Leeds, this time Westwood in the Coventry goal denied him.

Leeds should have taken the lead on twenty minutes when Becchio somehow shot wide from a Snodgrass cross.

Max Gradel then shot just wide after a good run as Leeds started to insert some pressure.

Gradel again had a good chance for Leeds, again though he failed to trouble the keeper.

Becchio missed another fantastic chance for Leeds when he again failed to work the goalkeeper from close range after good work down the Leeds left from McCartney.

Leeds had enjoyed the bulk of the chances on goal and possession but they went in at half time 0-0.

Coventry had the first chance of the second half when Wood made a good run down the wing and Clive Platt missed the target.

Snodgrass then delivered a good ball into the middle for Leeds that Gradel just failed to reach.

Somma then had a shot for Leeds from just outside the penalty area that harmlessly went wide.

Leeds took the lead after great work by Snodgrass and Gradel, Gradel eventually crossed the ball and Somma scored from inside the six-yard area.

Coventry almost got straight back into it when Clive Platt fired over after a good turn.

Snodgrass almost made it two when the legs of Westwood saved his shot from a tight angle.

Coventry continued to look dangerous on the break and Gunnarsson shot just wide after good work from Platt and Jutkiewicz.

Leeds thought they had doubled the lead when Somma found the net but the linesman`s flag was up to rule out the effort.

Jutkiewicz then forced Leeds keeper Schmeichel into another save as Leeds fans were living on their nerves.

Alex Bruce went close for Leeds when he shot just wide from the edge of the area.

Snodgrass forced Westwood into another save as Leeds tried to finish the game off.

Coventry came straight back at Leeds and Schmeichel made a great save to deny Platt.

The referee added five minutes of time on, as the game was end to end.

Snodgrass almost settled the nerves in the dying seconds when his shot was deflected wide for a corner.

The referee blew for full time soon afterwards as Leeds got back to winning ways after two draws.
