Former Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Barry Douglas quickly began to win over Leeds United fans following his unexpected arrival from last year’s Championship title winners over the summer.
A mix of solid on pitch performances for us so far this year as he took to life at Elland Road like he’d always been in the dressing room, added to good interaction with the fans on social media, and it appears there’s little chance of either of his efforts coming to an end any time soon.
Having played his part in our 3-0 victory over Norwich City at the weekend with goals from Mats Klich, Erzgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez as we continued our unbeaten start to the year, Douglas again took to Twitter to explain that he felt it was a ‘great response’ to the result in midweek.
Great response from midweek 💪🏽 boys were class today 🔥 fantastic travelling support again, safe journey home everyone 🙌🏼 #BD3 #MOT pic.twitter.com/yelwir60Qo

Plenty of fans were quick to seize on that when it came to the attitude and standards that appear to have been set under manager Marcelo Bielsa so far and it was extremely warmly greeted.
'Great response from midweek'.
As if midweek was a bad result. The standards we're setting are very high. Love it.

Response? We drew away against a good team. Love that attitude treating it like a loss

He even received his now obligatory ‘we miss you’ messages from Wolves fan who are following his progress.
If the players can keep that attitude when we go through an eventual dip, it shouldn’t last too long.
