Leeds United confirmed yesterday that highly rated youngster Mallik Wilks had headed out of Elland Road for a loan spell in League One with Doncaster Rovers.

The 19-year-old Academy graduate took in two loan spells last season as he continued his development as a player and the young striker showed plenty of promise. He headed to Accrington Stanley first where he made a total of 24 appearances – ending up with a League Two winners medal for his involvement, before spending the second half of the campaign with Grimsby Town where he made an additional six showings.

Whilst with Accrington he scored a total of five goals, but it must be noted he only made seven starts.

He heads to the Keepmoat Stadium on a deal that will expire on January 2nd

With Leeds United having troubles when it comes to incomings to the club this summer and new additions, fans were quick to pounce on the fact that we seem to have no issues in managing to get players out of the club gates.

Plenty were also quick to wish Wilks well.
