This story is a bit of a concerning one, or complete nonsense, depending on how you view pre-season friendlies.

Leeds held a ‘behind closed doors’ match last night against Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad. Now whilst there hasn’t been a lot of information to come out about it from the club, the most that fans were able to obtain was that Leeds lost the game 4-2.

In fact the lack of clarity from the club led some people to believe that it was actually a 7-2 defeat for Leeds United. Although given the fact that the Saudi side themselves said it was a 4-2 score line, it’s probably safe to go with their version of events.

The most that supporters have been able to ascertain from the game was who was playing judging by tweets put out by the visiting side.

Even though fans didn’t know the full story of what was going on, that didn’t stop them rushing to conclusions on Twitter. Perhaps a couple could have borrowed Bielsa’s binoculars to see what was really going on. Hey, it was the obvious joke, someone was going to make it in the end.

Although there was one fan who went down the conspiracy theory route as to why the match ended the way it did.
