With news last night that Leeds United centre-half Pontus Jansson would serve an immediate one-match ban following his use of a naughty word when talking to the media following the refereeing cluster…. that was the Championship tie against Brentford, the Elland Road faithful were asking one question last night – what about Norwich City player Timm Klose.
Norwich hosted fellow Championship side Aston Villa at Carrow Road last night and having fallen behind originally in the game, they did stage a fightback to take a 2-1 victory and all three points with Jordan Rhodes helping himself to a brace – but he also said a naughty word when describing his emotions as he spoke to the cameras at the fulltime whistle.
This is an incredibly simple debate isn’t it?
Perfect time #ncfc that’s a one match ban for Klose. Or is it @efl @fa …. probably not. #scum #lufc

Be interesting to see the ban that Tim Klose receives for swearing tonight. Hold on, he wasn't wearing a Leeds shirt. #LUFC #corrupt

So Klose just swore live on tv after Norwich won, looking forward to seeing what happens #lufc pic.twitter.com/5VKcP341hA

In that case you're done. He's not Leeds, so they won't do a thing.

Tim Klose gonna be getting a ban and fine this week then i suppose? #ncfc #lufc

No issue. He's not Leeds. There will be no further action. We know it. They know it.

Surely a one match ban at the very least for this right? @EFL @FA #lufc pic.twitter.com/bzlkeyi9Fj

Horses for courses, status quo, a punishment to fit the crime…it’s no surprise why so many fans, as per the comments above, are questioning what way will the Football Association now pivot as they’ve made a rod for their own backs here.
Sits here tapping finger on desk…
