Leeds came from two down inside thirty minutes but in the end will be disappointed to have only finished with a point after going ahead in the second half.

Blackburn started the game brightly and put Leeds on the back foot from the start.

Blackburn scored twice in the space of seven minutes midway through the half. Markus Olsson and Miguel Nuno Gomes on target for the visitors.

El Hadji Diouf gave Leeds a lifeline when he scored close to half time and he almost sent the teams in level at half time, only to be denied by a great save by former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

Ross McCormack scored his first championship goal of the season when he fired past Robinson and Rodolph Austin and Luciano Becchio missed great chances to put Leeds ahead.

Leeds went ahead twenty minutes into the second half when Becchio made no mistake this time to score his fifth goal of the season.

Jason Pearce then thought he had scored his first goal for Leeds but his effort was ruled out for a foul.

Blackburn got back on level terms when substitute Ruben Rochina back heeled the ball into the goal with just six minutes remaining.

McCormack had a chance deep into stoppage time to win all three points for Leeds but his effort was blocked and at the other end, Dickson Etuhu fired over when in a great position.

With almost the last kick of the game Diouf fired over for Leeds to bring an end to a dramatic afternoon at Elland Road.

Leeds go into the international break with seven points from their first four games.
