Lots of Leeds fans have been showering goalkeeper Illan Meslier after his performances since stepping in for Kiko Casilla earlier in the season.
The 20-year-old came into Marcelo Bielsa’s side following the suspension of the Spanish shot-stopper back in March, before the 2019/20 campaign was temporarily brought to a halt.
The Argentinian tactician has been delighted with Meslier’s outings since stepping into the fold and has certainly made a case for retaining his spot for next season.

LUFC Worldwide posted some stats regarding Meslier’s outings on Twitter, highlighting that from seven goals he has kept four clean sheets and conceded just four goals and helping his side to five victories.
Unsurprisingly, supporters were full of compliments for Meslier and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the club should “sign him now”, while others described him as a “superstar in the making and a “fantastic young man”.
