Leeds United suffered defeat at the hands of QPR on Saturday and will not be in the hat for the FA Cup fourth round, although one of their loanees spending time away from Elland Road will be.
20-year-old striker Mallik Wilks caught the eye for Doncaster Rovers by scoring the final goal in a 3-1 victory over Championship side Preston, just days after it was announced he signed a new deal with Leeds and would remain with Doncaster until the end of the season.
Following his fine performance, many fans are now discussing whether the young striker could have been an asset in the second half of the season as Marcelo Bielsa’s side push for promotion, with some suggesting he is a more useful asset than Tyler Roberts.
Wilks has scored seven goals and contributed five assists in 26 League One appearances this season and some fans believe he has a big future ahead of him. We have gathered some of their comments below.
