Queens Park Rangers have hit out at the EFL after it was revealed that the Championship season is set to resume on June 20.
That update was confirmed over the weekend but with clubs having only returned to training last week, the R’s are unhappy at the short turnaround and the way the decision was communicated by the EFL.
However, one club who certainly don’t share that view are Leeds United. Even though the Whites would win promotion if the season didn’t continue after the EFL recommended using a points per game metric, they have made it perfectly clear that they want to finish the campaign on the pitch.
And, with Marcelo Bielsa’s men top of the Championship and holding a seven point advantage over third-placed Fulham, there’s every chance they will be playing in the Premier League next season.Β As a result, the Leeds fans are not pleased with QPR’s stance and they feel the comments aren’t warranted considering the entire division is starting from the same position.
Here we look at some of the reaction…
If your club has been run professionally and your players have been keeping fit, I’m not sure what your problem is. You’re at no disadvantage, all clubs are in the same boat….. get rowing π

Why should clubs who have worked hard to keep their players fit be dragged to the same level as everybody else, with an extra two subs as well?

QPR players are like, “Yes Mr Warburton, I’m following the fitness schedule you set us.” pic.twitter.com/hUjSp0nYD6

Should have kept your players fit then

Imagine trying to get 24 Champ clubs to agree on something. Theyβd be bitching and moaning for a month. The EFL have grown a pair finally and laid out the rules, now deal with it…… just like everybody else.

Stop moaning, it’s same for everyone. You’ve had weeks to make sure your players are ready to restart.

Clearly nothing to do with the fact that QPRβs season is already over..
