There was good news for Leeds United on an injury front on Monday afternoon, as on loan Chelsea man Izzy Brown got back on the pitch for our Under 23’s after his recent complications.
With the 22-year-old yet to officially debut for us as he works his way back from a lengthy spell injured on the sidelines, he did start to make an impressive comeback for Carlos Corberan’s side ahead of Christmas, but a hamstring strain complicated matters.
At Thorp Arch yesterday, he announced his second comeback in some style as he capped the performance off with a brace of goals as we took a 2-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra. Brown also got the full 90 minutes into his tank.
He looks well on track to make a first team impact in February which is when manager Marcelo Bielsa has said he expects him to come into contention.
Reacting to the news on social media, fans were a little bit mixed really, but his fitness will improve day by day.

Needs the game time as he has looked a bit off pace here and few wayward passes. Still a bit away to look at pushing for a start under MB. Few more games and hopefully stay injury free can help us.

Halme & Diaz looking very tidy. Good to see Pearce bombing down the wing. Philips a cut above but Brown looks a million miles away from our starting 11.

I reckon Brown will be on bench on Saturday. Let's hope he doesn't sneeze and pull his hamstring by then #LUFC #mot #ALAW

Easily the sharpest I've seen Brown for U23s. Some real signs of the kind of player you know he can be & looks much nearer the first team than before recent minor injury. Gotts, Davis & Hosannah have all changed this game 2nd half too. Phillips imperial throughout #lufc
