After a quiet January transfer deadline day, Leeds United welcomed Wigan Athletic to Elland Road for our next Championship clash and having taken victory over Millwall at the end of last month, we were looking to make it back to back wins once again.

Despite utterly dominating the game with 76% of the ball and 18 chances overall, we only managed five on target and although we limited them to just two efforts at Kiko Casilla, a Pablo Hernandez credited own goal made all the difference at the full time whistle.

The defeat sees us slip from top spot once again and West Bromwich Albion have reestablished their one point advantage, but I’d imagine the biggest fall out from the game will be once again – how did we not score?

Plenty of points left to battle for in the 2019/20 campaign though and we knew it would never be easy, but it would be nice if on occasions we could make it easy for ourselves.
