David Healy has played down talk that he is heading for the Premiership with either West Brom or Everton.

The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international was said to be one of Kevin Blackwell’s ‘most saleable’ players, and it was thought he could cash in on his striker.

But Healy told Leeds’ official website: ‘I’m not going anywhere – I’m happy, love the club and love the players.

‘Leeds went out of their way to sign me last year when things weren’t as rosy as they are at the minute and they spent a lot of money and put a lot of faith in me so hopefully I can repay that.

‘I believe we’re going places, because we’re in the top three now.

‘I’m going to see the peak of my career over the next few years and hopefully I’ll spend it here.’
