Roofe Reveals Positive Injury Update With Plenty Fearing The Worst

|

With plenty of concern that Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe could potentially be out for the remainder of the season following the recent injury he picked up in the Championship clash with Swansea City last midweek, there’s finally some good news on the injury front.

With the club not revealing a lot about his knee injury or the potential timeframe he would be out for, over the weekend he was seen in a knee brace following scans that confirmed he had damaged his ligaments, and speaking to Radio X and Chris Moyles this week, he stated that he should only be out for six to eight weeks which leaves a good block of games at the end of the campaign for him to still have a telling say on our promotion hopes.

“I suffered damage to my lateral ligament and I’ll be out for six to eight weeks. I’ll be back for the final six or seven games, maybe a bit sooner. Every game is like a final now, each three points is massive.”

With Patrick Bamford returning to contention to provide cover, as well as Tyler Roberts, news that Roofe will be back to play his part should be a massive boost to everyone and given the battle with Norwich City remains so tight, we just have to hope we can remain in the mix – if not eek ourselves ahead again.
