We go to war on Saturday with Millwall, knowing that automatic promotion could swing from our clutches to a distant dream in a second, but our chances of beating Neil Harris’ Lions have increased after Marcelo Bielsa delivered some great injury news.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Thursday, the boss revealed that both Pontus Jansson and Adam Forshaw have been passed fit by the club’s medical team, and are ready to play a part at the weekend.
The news does mean Gaetano Berardi will be unlikely to feature, and the wait for the 30-year-old’s first start since going off injured against Ipswich in October continues to roll on.
The wait to see crocked striker Kemar Roofe back in White will not be a drawn-out saga, however, as Bielsa also revealed that our top goalscorer will return to action when we travel to St Andrew’s to face the now relegation-threatened Birmingham City.
Roofe will not be able to play a part on Saturday, though, as he nurses the final stages of his knee ligament injury, but the boss has stated: “He will be [ready] for the next game”.
When the club shared Bielsa’s injury news on Twitter, here’s what you had to say…
So basically if no one gets injured this weekend, next week will be the first time this season we’ll have a fully fit squad?
Shame we had to wait til the last 7 games eh ????
