Tom Lees has praised the Whites ahead of our game with Sheffield Wednesday this evening.
The Owls defender used to play for us, of course, but never really stood out and it was probably best for all involved that he moved on.
He’s become a good defender for them now, though, and so it seems clear that he’ll be looking to stop us tonight.
He’s well aware how good we are, though, and as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post yesterday he had this to say:
“They have showed enough this season to show they have enough quality and are a good enough side to be involved at the top end of the season for most of the season.”
Clearly, he is well aware of the threat we offer his side and tonight we’ll be looking to deliver that.
If we can win here this evening we’ll have a real chance of competing all year and I have a good feeling that we are going to produce the goods at Hillsborough.
