Leeds United’s rising star Jamie Shackleton has revealed to the Talking Shutt podcast that Pablo Hernandez has qualities that are leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the Whites dressing room.

Shackleton, who broke into the senior side at Elland Road this season, appeared on the show in the lead up to Wednesday night’s clash with Hernandez’s former side Swansea.

The midfield duo have been regular members of Marcelo Bielsa’s side, even if the teenager has been deployed as a right-back on more occasions that his natural position.

With that has come some added challenges for Shackleton, who revealed on the Talking Shutt podcast that the Spaniard often presents a challenging opponent for him in training, thanks to being one of the most gifted members of the squad.

When asked who he considers to be the most talented player at Elland Road, Shackleton said: “Pablo. Some of the things he does is training nobody else can do.

“When you’re marking him in training, it’s tough. Just keep your legs shut!”

Hernandez has recorded seven goals and eleven assists in 24 games this season, and will start against his former side on Wednesday in place of Jack Clarke, in what will be Bielsa’s only change to the side that faced Middlesbrough at the weekend.
