Since the departure of Felix Wiedwald, Leeds United have been linked with a whole host of goalkeepers as they look to establish their squad before the start of the upcoming season. The latest goalkeeper who has been linked with a move to Elland Road is Chelsea’s Jamal Blackman, and as per our poll, the majority of Leeds United supporters would be happy with his arrival.

As Bristol Live reported earlier in the week, the Whites are interested in signing Blackman from Chelsea. Despite not making a single appearance for the Blues, he has amassed experience with a plethora of clubs on loan, and he impressed for Sheffield United last season.

His spell with the Blades is the best demonstration of his ability to contribute meaningfully over the duration of a season, and his early season form coincided with some excellent performances from Sheffield United.

Despite only making 98 career appearances at senior level, Blackman flaunts necessary skill and attributes to play a purposeful role for Leeds as they look to attain promotion to the top-flight of English football. The Englishman has certainly been around the block, and the experience of playing in different leagues and representing various clubs should aid his capacity to thrive for Leeds.

The young goalkeeper would be an exciting option for the Whites, and the supporters who answered our poll are in agreement. A staggering 86% of our respondents believe he would be a good signing.
