According to Football Insider, Brighton have drawn up a list of central defenders that they might want to target in the summer window, should they not be able to keep Ben White at the club.
The centre-half has been excellent for Leeds United this season. He’s been a mainstay in the side and helped Whites fans quickly forget about the departure of Pontus Jansson.
Cool on the ball and great at reading the game, he looks a class act set for many successful years in the sport and there is a fair argument to say that he’ll be a Premier League player when next season begins.
Should we break the bank?
However, with him on loan from Brighton, you’d think that the Seagulls would want to keep him, but it sounds as though they are bracing themselves for his potential exit.
Indeed, the report alleges that the men from the Amex Stadium have got a list of potential replacements in mind if he is offered the chance to leave, and you wonder whether Leeds might be able to get in on the action – though some top Premier League sides with their cash could also want in.
Certainly, though, this report suggests that for the right price Brighton would be willing to listen to an offer and it remains to be seen if Leeds could offer them what they’re looking for.
