Report Claims Leeds Are Keeping Tabs On Austrian Youth International Striker

|

With the summer transfer rumour mill in full flow for Leeds United with plenty of speculation about incomings as well as departures, last week there was certainly a left field suggestion as it was claimed we were tracking young striker Sasa Kalajdzic.

The original report seems to come from outlet Weltfussball as they have said we are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old who impressed again during the 2018/19 campaign for FC Admira Wacker Modling, finding the back of the net eight times in 15 Austrian Bundesliga games.

The youngster has been linked with a move to England previously so this does have the sniff of an agent simply doing the rounds to try and garner interest for me, but Leeds Live carry quotes from the player himself, so they are being pretty upfront about angling for a move even though he has 12 months left on his existing contract.

“According to the media, it can be expected that I will go abroad. I do not exclude anything. Everything has to fit, we’ll see if that will happen.”

The Austrian Under 21 international will be taking part in this summer’s European Championship tournament in Italy, so we’ll have to see if anything comes of this.
