Whilst international football takes over for the next week or so we can take a closer look at things lower down the club.

Last season, it has to be said, it got to a point where I was getting more joy out of watching the U23 side and the U18 team rather than the senior lads.

The first-team have changed that now, of course, but that’s not because the kids are struggling – they are clearly still doing well.

Indeed, the U23 side is on an unbeaten run at the moment with them beating the same age group from Cardiff City yesterday afternoon:

One thing we can assume is that the youth side of things at the club is in good health at the moment and with Bielsa in charge these boys should be excited about their futures.

From top to bottom the club is looking strong at the moment and that’s a good thing.
