Recent injustice could prove blessing in disguise for Leeds

In case you missed it last night, the ruling from the game against Aston Villa was made yesterday with some rather interesting outcomes.

Patrick Bamford was charged, Anwar El Ghazi was cleared – perhaps both fairly – and Conor Hourihane, strangely, was cleared.

Of course, it might not be strange when you consider it was a decision against us as these players seem to get away with it more against our boys.

Frankly, Hourihane’s actions were awful and it sets a worrying precedent – as the Sergi Canos debacle did as well.

Leeds need to rise above it, though, and the best motivation to do that will come from seeing that a Premier League place is just three games away.

We can finally leave the Championship with wins and we must use this injustice to spur us on at this crucial time of the season.

Maybe, in that instance, things will end up proving a blessing in disguise.
