The Yorkshire Evening Post has recently been discussing what the future might hold for Paul Heckingbottom as the manager of Leeds United.

The former Barnsley man has had it tough at the club since arriving earlier this year and I have a feeling that he’s going to have to get big results quickly next year to stop more getting on his back.

For sure, though, there’s already plenty giving him grief right now and so I find it hard to believe there are many other managers in the country facing such a big summer in this window.

With that said, then, let’s take a look at the debate the YEP threw out on Twitter and what some of our fans had to say in response:

The Verdict

I still think it is more than worth giving him a little bit longer and at least the whole window to see what he can do in terms of bringing players in.

He’s got plenty to do to win us around, let’s be clear, but with the names linked in recent weeks he and Victor Orta might just redeem themselves – or at least start to.

Results are key, though, and so the first few games in August are vital for him.
