According to the Birmingham Mail, Leeds United’s potential signing of Albert Adomah fell through because he preferred a move to Middlesbrough.

Late in the market last week it appeared that Villa were willing to let the experienced winger leave the club on loan.

Indeed, we ended up being interested in him but so did Boro and with him familiar with that club already he seemed as though he preferred a move there to us.

With that said, neither deal eventually came off and he’s stuck at a Villa side that clearly does not want him.

Whether or not Middlesbrough will get him in in the January window remains to be seen, then, whilst I would probably like us to have another go.

He might be getting on but has good experience and quality and as a squad player that would be something good to bring in.

We’ll have to just wait and see now.
