Following on from our fantastic victory over Aston Villa in our last Premier League game, manager Marcelo Bielsa has had an extended run on the training pitches ahead of this evening’s clash with Leicester City but sadly that didn’t work in our favour.

The visitors started incredibly brightly and had given themselves a 1-0 advantage just two minutes into the game, and in minute 21 they doubled their lead. We weren’t out of it by any stretch though, and dominating possession in our usual manner, we just desperately needed to create far more in and around their box.

We did improve although Leicester remained dangerous but with Shackleton going off for Poveda at the break we came out firing in the second half, and with a few good chances, Dallas made it count a few minutes in to make it 2-1 and give us hope.

We really should’ve been level in minute 55 as Pablo saw his fantastic curled effort cannon back off the bar with Schmeichel left flat footed. Surely it was only a matter of time. But it wasn’t.

Leicester then came back into the game more and with just under 15 minutes remaining in the tie, Jamie Vardy made it 3-1 and there was no way back – although we understandably kept plugging away.

A foul by Mats Klich late on gave Leicester the chance to make it 4-1 and unfortunately we can have few complaints this time.
