Plenty of Leeds United fans have been applauding the FA’s decision to ban Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic for three games, as well as the striker himself admitting a charge of violent conduct.

The 25-year-old fiercely elbowed Whites’ defender Ben White inside the first two minutes during the 3-0 victory against the Cottagers at the weekend, which went unnoticed by the officials and referee Tony Harrington at the time.

But the joint Championship top scorer accepted a charge of violent conduct by the FA and will now his side’s crucial run-in, per BBC Sport.

Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison scored the goals that sent Marcelo Bielsa’s side back to the top of the Championship table and are close to achieving promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

Unsurprisingly, supporters were pleased with the response from both the FA and Mitrovic himself and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the decision was “quite right”, while another preached it was “justice for once”.
