After a brief conversation on Twitter with a Leeds fan, Phil Hay has moved to quash any talk of Marcus Maddison coming in during this window.

The midfielder is a real assist-king with him laying on over 20 last season for Peterborough United.

Certainly, he’s a player that would have likely added to our attack but it looks as though he won’t get the chance to do so.

Here’s what Hay had to say to the fan:

From what he’s saying, it looks as though the Whites won’t be getting him and, actually, that they haven’t really been interested in him all summer.

That might be a bit of a shock considering some of what has gone on this summer but Hay usually is pretty accurate and so it seems as though it might be wise to forget this one.

It remains to be seen if we bring in an alternative on a permanent deal by tomorrow evening.
