Former Nottingham Forest and Southampton midfielder David Prutton has expressed his wish to stay at Elland Road just as soon as the opportunity arises.

Prutton, who is currently one of five players on trial during the clubs pre-season tour to Germany (now including a quick trip to the Czech Rep.), is a free agent as it stands, and so far he is liking the look of Leeds United and hopes that Dennis Wise will decide to keep him on just as soon as the Football League decide that Leeds are able to start signing players.

Speaking to the clubs official website Prutton said: When the administration stuff gets sorted hopefully things will be sorted for me and the players like me,’

‘This is a team with a lot of potential. We need to work on that – the league will be tough – but the management here is good, the players are good, and we need to move in the right direction.

‘There’s a huge history and a chance to try and re-build.’
