Owners at football clubs quite often get labelled as the bad guys.

Look at what’s happening with Mike Ashley at Newcastle, Stan Kroenke and the Arsenal fan’s very sour relationship with him and the Glaziers at Manchester United.

Now although things haven’t always been smooth for Andrea Radrizzani at Elland Road, the moves that the club have made this summer are slowly getting him into the fan’s good books again.

With the signings of Jack Harrison & Ben White on loan, the permanent move for Liam McCarron, plus the loan back of young winger Jack Clarke, things couldn’t possibly get better, and then they did. The club announced that after weeks of being linked, Leeds finally completed the transfer of Helder Costa from Wolves.

Not long after the move was made official, Radrizzani tweeted out his message of support to Costa, welcoming him to the club. Almost instantly, Leeds fans jumped to congratulate the owner for finally making one of their dream transfers this summer come true.

Although as is normal with such positive news, there were one or two fans who were quick to point out that there’s always the chance for bad news to rear its ugly head in the near future. Let’s see how long the happiness lasts with the fans if say, Kalvin Phillips ends up out the door.
