Leeds Word On The Tweet

“Proud as punch”, “I’ll take that”: Some Leeds fans left with mixed reaction to ‘six-pointer’

|

If you come out with a draw in a so-called ‘six-pointer’, does that mean that it was a ‘two-pointer’ in the end, a ‘four-pointer’ or something in between?

I’m not sure how the maths works in that situation. Whatever they are, the long and short of it is that Leeds and West Brom played out a 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns. The result essentially ensures that Leeds remain above the Baggies for the time being, if only on goal difference, as the teams break off for their F.A Cup fixtures this weekend.

And given that there wasn’t a ‘seismic change’ at the top of the table one way or the other, there wasn’t really much to shout about after the game, which is perhaps why Leeds fans couldn’t quite work out how they wanted to feel about the whole affair.

There were some who felt that a draw was a fair result and that they would happily take it, whilst some believed that the game was there for the taking and that they were in fact the better team.

Were you happy with the draw against West Brom?

Yes

Yes

No

Whether or not this result will end up meaning anything significant at the end of the season, we’ll just have to wait and see. Maybe then the fans might have a different outlook on it.
