The transfer window is offering plenty of rumours but little in the way of the Whites actually signing players right now.
We’ve seen some big names in terms of the Championship linked with our club in recent weeks.
Abel Hernandez, Kyle Bartley, Angus Gunn and Marcelo Bielsa are all men we’ve spoken about in detail this summer but none are yet to commit their future to our club.
And, with the Hernandez deal still in the air, Leeds are apparently looking around at alternatives – as per Phil Hay:
Derby are willing to sell Vydra this summer, for a big fee. Leeds still very keen on Hernandez but have been looking at alternatives. In terms of funding, no suggestion they could do both him and Vydra. Would be one or the other.

Perhaps crucially, too, the key detail here is that it’ll be one or the other striker, not both, and so you have to just hope we make the right call.
The Verdict
Vydra has the recent better goal record and is a good player but there’s something about Hernandez that makes me want to see him at our club more.
We evidently can afford one of these big Championship hitters this summer which is good, but we clearly cannot bring in both.
