It doesn’t matter where on the pitch Leeds United fans look at this stage of pre-season, we’re missing players as Marcelo Bielsa will be keenly aware.
Failing to secure our seeming first-choice goalkeeper, then issues with Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez – there is one small hope this week and it rests on the shoulders of Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman.
The 24-year-old stopper spent last season out on loan with Sheffield United as he stepped up to the Championship level after a good year out previously with Wycombe Wanderers. He made 33 appearances for Chris Wilder’s side as they went close to achieving back to back promotions following their League One title win the previous campaign.
He’s not a new name on the rumour mill for Leeds and at least, at the moment, it seems a possible deal could still be struck to solve at least one of the holes we have in the first team moving into the 2018/19 Championship campaign.
As you can tell from reactions, fans are running out of alternative options when it comes to stoppers who may have a future with us after a possible loan spell, but it’s not the only position where we need quality additions and choices are out there if the club will open the wallet.

We were willing to pay Vydra 30k per week. Can't say that is not a fair whack in the championship. If you're expecting the club to pay someone more than that you're dreaming. Villa did it, look at the state they're in now. #lufc

Cont. Plus if AR is in Russia and us allegedly waiting for the end of the WC, he could be smoothing the way for the signings of Danny Rose, Fabian Delph and Jamie Vardie ????
