The pressure mounts on Leeds boss Simon Grayson after another defeat, this time a heavy one at Barnsley.

Substitute Ricardo Vaz Te scored a hat trick as Barnsley strolled to a 4-1 win.

Luciano Becchio scored a late consolation for Leeds but Grayson faces a nervous time with his job on the line after another poor performance.

Leeds had a good chance to open the scoring inside the first ten minutes when Andy Keogh shot across goal.

Ramon Nunez then went even closer when his shot from range went just wide.

Barnsley were dealt a blow inside the opening fifteen minutes when Jacob Butterfield was forced to go off with injury and he was replaced by Ricardo Vaz Te..

Within minutes, Vaz Te fired Barnsley ahead after a defensive error from Patrick Kisnorbo.

Kisnorbo dwelt on the ball allowing Craig Davies to steel the ball and he set up Vaz Te who made no mistake from inside the penalty area.

Nunez went close again for Leeds but Luke Steele got a hand to his shot to push it out for a corner.

Davies missed a good chance to double the lead when he fired over when he should have at least been hitting the target.

Keogh had a header saved by Steele after a good ball in from Nunez.

Nunez was continuing to look Leeds main threat and he tested Steele with another shot from distance.

It was to be the last chance of the first half as Leeds went in at the break behind.

Barnsley went two ahead early in the second half when Vaz Te had time and space in the area before firing past Lonergan.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson quickly made two substitutions with Adam Clayton and Luciano Becchio replacing Mika Vayrynen and Andy Keogh.

It was 3-0 within ten minutes, when Craig Davies gave Andy Lonergan no chance with a curling shot.

Davies went close again soon afterwards as Barnsley controlled the game and were looking like increasing their lead.

Vaz Te completed his hat trick when he waltzed through the Leeds defence to make it 4-0.

Leeds had a rare attack with less than fifteen minutes remaining. Kisnorbo saw his effort blocked and Darren O`Dea followed up by hitting the crossbar.

Davies had another chance to increase the lead but Lonergan kept out his shot.

From the corner, Lonergan made another good save, this time denying Miles Addison.

Ross McCormack summed up Leeds performance when he blazed over from close range.

McCormack went closer a few minutes later when he forced Steele into a good save.
