Leeds United are considering a move for Leicester City’s Demarai Gray as they continue their search for a new winger, a report from The Daily Mail has claimed.

The Championship title winners have been looking for a player to add an extra attacking from the wide areas all summer, with several names linked, the latest of which now looks to be ray.

According to the latest reports, Gray is one potential candidate to fill that role for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, with his future currently looking bleak with Leicester.

It is thought that with his contract set to expire at the end of this season, and his game time likely to be limited this season if he remains at The King Power Stadium, Gray is seen as viable option for Leeds to target.

Since joining Leicester from Birmingham in January 2016, Gray has made 168 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists in that time.

This is an interesting potential target for Leeds to consider as they look to do business in what remains of the window.

Gray’s top-flight experience could certainly be useful for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and he does give them the wide option that they so clearly want.

The fact that he appears not to be in Leicester’s plans, and will soon be out of contract with the club, means he could also be available on the cheap, making this a good deal financially for Leeds.

There may however, be some concerns about the fact that he does not have the most prolific return at Premier League level, and it will be interesting to see if that does indeed have an impact on the Whites’ look to bring their winger search to a conclusion.
