Premier League referee Lee Probert is the man in charge of the clash between Preston North End and Leeds United this evening.

The Premier League official has taken charge of 26 games this season showing 46 yellow cards and 5 reds.

Probert’s last game in charge was the Premier League clash between West Brom and Burnley on the 31st March.

He has taken charge of Leeds once previously this season when they were beaten 3-1 at Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.

Probert last took charge of Preston last April when they were beaten 3-2 at Huddersfield Town.

The Wiltshire official holds two unwanted Leeds records in recent years. Probert was in charge of Leeds in January 2014. He took charge of the 6-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday in a game where he sent off Leeds striker Matt Smith just minutes after coming on as a second half substitute.

He was also the official when substitute Tresor Kandol was sent off at Norwich City in 2010. Kandol had been on the pitch less than 30 seconds when he was shown a straight red card.

Referee: LEE PROBERT (Wiltshire)

Assistants: Andrew Garratt and Mark Scholes

Fourth Official: Anthony Backhouse
