Phil Hay has revealed that Tyler Robers is pencilled in to play some part in our pre-season friendlies this summer – allowing him to finally make his debut for the club.

Certainly, being able to say that has been a long time coming with the Whites signing the player back in January from West Brom.

Injuries have definitely played their part in that but he is back fit and Hay says in the Yorkshire Evening Post that he should feature in some of our off-season schedule.

The Verdict

This is very exciting news I think.

I know we’ve kind of lost the expectation around the kid but he’s a first-team player despite his young age, he clearly has talent.

Indeed, we fought off a number of clubs for his signature in the January window and I like to think that it’s going to be worth the wait for him to make his debut.
