Leeds suffered back to back defeats for the first time this season in another very poor performance against inform Millwall

Leeds were without leading goalscorer Jermaine Beckford who picked up an injury in training, he was replaced in attack by Paul Dickov.

Returning to the starting line up also were Bradley Johnson and Leigh Bromby in place of Gary McSheffrey and Aidan White.

Shane Higgs returned on the bench after six month`s out with injury, as did Mike Grella who has been missing for two weeks.

Leeds were dealt a cruel blow inside seven minutes when influential defender Patrick Kisnorbo was carried off with what looked an Achilles injury.

Things were too quickly get worse when Morison was at the far post to beat Ankergren from a tight angle.

Leeds were struggling to get into any sort of rhythm and the visitors were bossing the game, Morison was proving to be a handful and he could have quite easily have had a hat trick in the first fifteen minutes.

Leeds had to wait until the 27th minute for their first effort on goal but Snodgrass`s long-range effort went harmlessly wide.

This seemed to bring the home side to life, Becchio was next to have a chance but his glancing header also failed to trouble the goalkeeper.

Howson had Leeds best effort of the half in the final minute but his shot went just wide of the post.

Millwall almost doubled their lead in injury time but Robinson`s header hit the top of the crossbar.

Leeds started the second half much stronger and Snodgrass really should have done better when he was teed up by Dickov, his shot from 14 yards going well over the bar.

Millwall were still proving dangerous at the other end and both Morison and Hackett had good chances to increase the lead.

Millwall substitute Batt increased the lead with ten minutes remaining when he was allowed to cut in far too easily on the left hand side before firing past Ankergren who once again got beat at his near post.

The goal killed off any chance of a Leeds comeback who hadn`t looked like scoring all evening.

The result moves Millwall to within three points of Leeds in the second automatic promotion place.
