It’s certainly been a good start to the season and it is clear that the players are very happy with how things are going.

Marcelo Bielsa has swept in and made big changes with the squad looking much more streamlined than last season.

Those that have remained are excelling in the main, though, and the mood has changed with Pontus Jansson clearly a fine demonstration of that.

Indeed, he looks ready to kick on this season and his recent comments via the Yorkshire Evening Post underline the impact Bielsa has had.

He said:

“When I came back from vacation in the summer, it felt like I had signed for a new club.

“Everything was new, we had a lot of staff, new people and everything was so more professional.

“Everything has been good since day one and I have worked hard, exactly how the guys have done too.”

Certainly, this is an exciting verdict as it is clear the club is in much better health than it was a few months ago.

Whatever your job you need to be happy in it to achieve and it looks as though are players are in a fine way mentally at the moment.

Onwards to the game with Middlesbrough, then.
