Well, another weekend is gone and now we just have one left before this season is done and dusted at last.
We’ve probably been counting the weeks down since about February and that certainly says a lot about our form since the turn of the year.
Whether or not we’re going to be better next season remains to be seen, too, with there plenty that needs addressing before 2018/19 kicks off.
And, with that said, I’m hoping to see some of the younger lads from the U23 and U18 side play more next season because they’ve clearly got talent.
Ryan Edmondson could just be one, too, and he travelled with the squad to Norwich – though he wasn’t in the 18 – as per Phil Hay:
Ryan Edmondson obviously didnβt make the 18 at Norwich yesterday. Heckingbottom said he wanted to take him as a consolation for the fact that Edmondson was ruled out of the U18s PDL semi-final by what Leeds felt was an unjust red card. Thinks the experience will be good for him.

Fans have reacted to this, then, so let’s look at what has been said:

"In and around the first team" has been used by clubs for years. When he makes his debut he'll know what match day routine is and it won't phase him as much. Ask the lad if it was a 'proud moment' rather than making everything into a negative.

Love it if Heckingbottom experienced the sack, think it will be good for him

Ha ha – you sure it was consolation not punishment?

Would have been better to play him with nothing to lose wouldnβt it tho?

With nothing left to play for this season and Lassogga not gonna be there there next season why not use him as the sub??? Pointless taking him for a coach ride!!!

Nice gesture

A positive performance would be consolation for the long suffering supporters but there's zero chance of that happening when the coach shows as much enthusiasm as a slug

The Verdict
It’s been a tough season but I’ve been buoyed by what the young kids have done.
I think it was a good idea to give him the experience of travelling, even if he didn’t play, so hopefully it’ll put him in good stead.
