Leeds United have today confirmed that young midfielder Jamie Shackleton has signed a new deal with the club after making his debut at the weekend.

The Whites were excellent on Saturday evening.

After much of the build-up concerned the head-to-head between Frank Lampard and Marcelo Bielsa, it appeared as though only one man actually had a plan in order to win the game.

The Rams and Lampard looked shell-shocked and so, by the hour mark, the game was won.

Indeed, such was the difference in quality we were able to bring on young Shackleton to give him his debut and it looks as though he could be one for the future.

Clearly, then, that’s what the Whites are thinking with him putting pen to paper earlier today:

It’s clear we’ve got some good young players available and Marcelo seems willing to play them when the time is right.

With that in mind, then, I look forward to seeing more of him.
