It would seem as though we have Pep Guardiola in part to thank for the loan signing of winger Jack Harrison.

The youngster went on City’s pre-season tour to the USA earlier this summer but ended up signing for us on a temporary deal.

Many felt as though part of that was down to Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola’s relationship, too, and it seems as though Pep did his part in selling the club to him.

Indeed, the world-class manager, who learned a lot from Marcelo, clearly felt as though the deal made sense.

Harrison has revealed via the YEP:

“Before I came here he spoke very highly of Marcelo.

“He said the opportunity I had was something special. He told me that himself.

Certainly, we all know Marcelo’s knowledge is up there with the best and his standing in the game is also second to none.

He’s on a par with the best in the world and hopefully we’ll see more managers convincing their bright players that joining us is a wise thing to do.
