Having returned to the top of the Championship table, Leeds United will be aiming to stay there as we face fellow promotion hopefuls Aston Villa next weekend.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa’s side make the trip to Villa Park to face off against Dean Smith’s side in Sunday’s early kickoff, and they go into the tie having played out a 2-2 all draw with Stoke, whilst we battled to another three points against Bolton Wanderers.
Their gaffer was up bright and early on Monday to talk about the upcoming game and he effectively promised Leeds that they would score against us.

I guess the confidence is to be admired, and yes Villa have been good value for goals this season – the problem is they are good value at both ends of the pitch and despite scoring 43 times, it’s the reason they are seven places below us and 12 points shy of top spot, as they’ve leaked 34 times.
It seems Leeds fans didn’t miss that point when given their own reactions to his words yesterday.
Would love it to be an own goal – smug git

Haven’t we already beaten Dean Smith once this season when he said that…

Don’t expect any mouthing off like this from Marcelo who will stay totally focussed on this one match & as always respecting his opponent #lufc

He also said it was a penalty v Brentford. He has been wrong before.
