It would seem that a possible takeover of Leeds has moved one step closer after 90min reported that QSI are locked in talks with Andrea Radrizzani.

A figure of £120m has been rumoured as the possible price, and given the financial power of the group – who also own PSG – there is every likelihood of them being able to meet that demand.

However, there is still a long way to go until the club changes hands, and according to Phil Hay another interested party could have a say in deciding the club’s fate.

Who would you rather took over control of our club?

The Athletic journalist states that 49ers Enterprises – the group that owns the San Francisco 49ers – have as much chance as QSI in purchasing the clubs, which indicates that Radrizzani will probably discuss matters with them before coming to a decisive decision.

After all, president of 49ers Enterprises Paraag Marathe sits on the Leeds United board and reportedly has a 10% stake in our club, so his knowledge of affairs could give him an advantage over QSI.

That group also has a tremendous amount of wealth, with the 49ers ranking 16th on Forbes’ list of richest sports team in the world, and therefore the club could be in good hands whichever party takes over.

Hopefully the current situation hasn’t deterred interest, as although Radrizzani has looked accomplished in his role as owner it would be brilliant if we were able to make the most of a possible promotion by bringing in quality players to take us to the next level, and that may only happen with greater spending power.
