Many Leeds supporters have been reacting on social media after Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay confirmed United would consider selling Jack Clarke this summer, amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Clarke enjoyed a stellar breakthrough senior season under Marcelo Bielsa to be named our Young Player of the Year, having featured in 25 games – mostly from the bench – and scoring and assisting twice in each regard across all competitions.
Spurs were not the first Premier League side to sniff around luring the academy graduate away from Elland Road either, but are seemingly the top-flight club with the most intent, having reportedly lodged a £10million bid in May as manager Mauricio Pochettino sees the potential the 18-year-old possesses.
Whites chiefs seemingly rejected the North London outfit’s opening offer, although the exit door has remained ajar for Clarke, as the Mirror later reported that we would consider parting ways with the teenager should someone present a bid in the region of £20million.
Going by Hay’s latest claim, it seems as if Tottenham have not yet made a serious approach that meets our valuation, but that, unfortunately, does not mean the saga has reached its end.
When some Leeds fans saw Hay’s claim, this is how these supporters reacted…
Anyone who thinks Daniel Levy is paying 20 million quid for Clarke is either drunk or high. He’ll offer2 million with add ons and we’ll probably accept it.

Serious as in £20m ???? hope the club stand their ground and get big bucks if he is to go

To me anyway, 20 million is fantastic money for a player who has only had 10 good games max – I get that he has bags of potential but 20 million would be not bad business in my eyes

Can’t see Spurs paying top dollar for Clarke when they’ve spent pretty much nothing the last 2 windows.

You’d have to take a pragmatic view on any offer over 10m.

Clarke and Philips are the ones to watch, Jansson May go but there’s nobody shouting for him yet, collectively Philips and Clark cud generate £40M I’d rather keep them but if they are going we get the best deal possible

Clarke 2 to 3 years off been a regular first team player his body hasn’t physically developed yet and it shows if we can get £15m for him we should snap their hands off! Phillips based on this season could play in the premiership I think we need to keep him at all costs

Does Clarke staying/going effect the numbers of wingers targeted, or is it 3 regardless?

Could get decent striker on loan n all if we get 20 mill for Clarke lol

Do you really see cash tight spurs paying for Clarke? Not me
— DavidK (@DavidKershaw7) June 10, 2019
No way in the real world would spuds or anyone pay 20m for Clarke . Between 7-10m at best

If Clarke does go, will we go for another winger? Or is there any scope in Spurs loaning him back to us? He’d get games here and will only end up being loaned out anyway or stuck in their 23s.
