Leeds United returned to the summit of the Championship table on Sunday after fighting back from behind to win 2-1 against Wigan Athletic.

The Peacocks fell behind to an early goal but equalised after nine minutes through Pablo Hernandez, just three minutes after the hosts had taken the lead before Kemar Roofe scored the deciding goal in the second half with his seventh in 10 matches.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have the second-best defensive record in the division after conceding just 13 goals and a breakdown of the statistics shows further reasons to be impressed as just four of those have come from open play.

However, that does mean that nine of the goals Leeds have conceded this season have come from set pieces, showing an area where Bielsa’s side need to improve, and fans were discussing the stat on social media after it was revealed to them.
